The Advanced Placement and Honors Program at Woodland Park High School provides opportunities for our college-bound students to prepare for the rigors of university study. Honors-level classes at the 9th and 10th grade level prepare students for Advanced Placement classes in the 11th and 12th grade. Honors-level and AP classes are offered in each core area: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Each class challenges students with high expectations for their reading, writing, analyzing, and critical thinking skills. The curriculum in each Advanced Placement class is approved by the College Board and is meant to represent college-level material and expectations. Honors and Advanced Placement students have an advantage over non-honors or AP students when they enter their freshman year of college because they are accustomed to working at a faster and more challenging pace. The Woodland Park High School Honors Program is committed to providing a world-class education in a small-town environment.
