From the Woodland Park High School After Prom Committee

 

          On Saturday, May 8, 2010, the Woodland Park High School Committee held its’ annual After Prom.  The After Prom is an event organized by parents to provide a safe alternative to less desirable type of activities.

 

          This year’s event was titled “Night on the Town” in coordination with Prom.  All that attended had fun and appreciated the large selection of prizes given out.  A huge thank you to all the businesses that donated to our event, they are:

 

Starbucks, Walmart, Safeway, Pass It On Sports, Hair Odyssey, City Market, The Edge Salon & Spa, Cripple Creek Gold Mine, Woodland Floral, Team Telecycle, Woodland Park Theater, Kokopelli Tanning, Gold Hill Gifts, Bronco Billy’s, Peoples Bank, Charitable Treasures, Studio West, both Subway, Walleys Tamales (all in Teller County), Boosters, CAP Middle School, Gateway PTO, Columbine PTO, EduKit Vending, Cola Bottling Company, Cinimark, Red Robin, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, Sams, and Swans.

 

          We also want to thank the parents that donated gifts, they are:

Mission Statement:

The Parent Group’s mission is to be the communication bridge between the school and families by:
  • Providing forums for open communication and education
  • Encouraging, participating, and supporting the students, parents, community, faculty, and administrators to work together for academic excellence
  • Matching volunteers with school needs to provide pathways for parents to support the school environment and their students
  • Help to organize school events that deepen our community connection and enrich our students’ educational experience


Meetings for 2009-2010:

The Parent Group meets in the High School Library at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Approved Volunteers:

If your name appears below as an approved volunteer you may come to the high school for an ID badge.  See Mrs. Stocking in the bookkeepers office to get a picture taken and an ID printed.
