Summary
of Activities The International Thespian Society is an international
theatrical honor society for high school theatre students that is sponsored
by Educational Theatre Association that recognizes the outstanding achievement
of high school students while promoting the theatre arts in affiliated
schools. The local troupe sponsors the Annual Haunted House, Student- Faculty
Talent show, and Almost Saturday Night Live Show. Additionally, it
organizes the productions of four major plays during the year and sponsors
trips to attend other plays being performed in the Pikes Peak region.
We also participate in the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center One-Act Play
Festival. The troupe also participates in the State Conference held each
fall in the historic Denver theatre district and the annual International
conference held at the end of June at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
It also holds an annual Awards Night each May.
